Rainwater Harvesting System Rebate*

Only Available In: Guelph
The City of Guelph is pleased to introduce the Guelph Home Rainwater Harvesting System Rebate Program. Through this program the qualifying owner of a qualifying home, who purchases and installs an approved home rainwater harvesting system, will be eligible for a rebate of $2000.

Greywater Reuse Pilot*

Install an approved greywater reuse system in your home today and receive a $1,000 incentive from the City of Guelph! Home greywater reuse systems collect greywater from household showers and baths, purify the greywater collected using chlorine, and utilize the treated greywater to flush toilets within the home.

Low-Flow Toilet Replacement Rebate Program*

Only Available In: Peterborough
The program is offering a $50.00 rebate per toilet for the purchase of up to two “WaterSense” labelled low-flow toilets that are replacing existing, less efficient toilets. The rebate is available exclusively for residential units located within the City of Peterborough that are connected to both the municipal water and the municipal sanitary sewer system.

Home Energy Loan Program (HELP)

Only Available In: Toronto
Low interest loans for energy and water efficiency improvements: 5 year term: 2.5% 10 year term: 3.75% 15 year term: 4.25% The loan will be repaid in installments on the homeowner’s property tax bill.

Home Assistance Program

Free energy efficiency upgrades, including insulation, for eligible lower-income households. The advisor decides which measures should be taken, and does them free of charge.

Net Metering Program

Ontario customers can earn credits towards their electricity costs by transferring excess electricity generated primarily for their own use from a renewable source to the electrical grid.

Programmable Thermostats (Rebate)

Royal Flush Toilet Rebate Program *

Built Blue Home*

Only Available In: Guelph
Blue Built Home is a certification program for new homes that use an approved set of high quality home fixtures and appliances designed and third-party tested to save water and reduce utility bills by as much as 54 per cent.

Toilet Retrofit Program*

Only Available In: Niagara Falls
Residents of Niagara Falls may be entitled to a $60.00 rebate towards the purchase of high efficiency toilets to replace inefficient toilets.

Low Flow Toilet Rebate Program *

Only Available In: Regional Municipality of Halton
A $75 rebate is offered to Halton residents who replaced their high-flow toilet with an approved high-efficiency toilet that meets WaterSense® performance guidelines. Use the link for a list of qualifying models.

Peaksaver Plus

Available to customers of certain utility companies (check website for list). Once you are enrolled in peaksaver PLUS, an authorized technician will install a device that can be remotely activated when demand is high to help manage electricity consumption by making small adjustments to the appliance(s) that you enrol in the program (including central air conditioner, electric water heater and/or in-ground pool pump) for short periods of time.

Low-Income Energy Assistance Program*

LEAP is a year-round program to assist low-income customers with their bill payments and natural gas costs. LEAP provides emergency relief with a one-time financial grant of $500 to eligible low-income customers experiencing difficulty paying already "past due" bills.

Water Efficient Toilet Rebate Program*

Replace your high flow toilet with an ecoENERGY approved 6L or less or dual flush model to be eligible for a $50 rebate.

Residential Toilet Replacement Program (Regional Municipality of Waterloo)*

Only Available In: Waterloo
Replacing an old toilet with a Region-approved high-efficiency toilet lets you save water and receive a $20 rebate.

Where Every Drop Counts (City of Woodstock)*

Only Available In: Woodstock
Replace your old 13L flush volume toilet with a qualifying ultra-low flow 6L flush or 4.8L high-efficiency toilet to qualify to receive a $50 or $60 rebate, respectively.

Water-Efficient Furnace Mounted Humidifier Rebate

Only Available In: York Region
Receive a $30 or $70 rebate for replacing an inefficient humidifier with a York Region-approved, water-efficient furnace mounted humidifier.

SaveONenergy Heating and Cooling Incentive

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation Mortgage Loan Insurance

By using Canada Mortgage Housing Corporation insured financing to buy an energy-efficient home, to purchase a house and make energy-saving renovations, or to renovate your existing home to make it more energy-efficient, you may be eligible for a 10% refund on the mortgage loan insurance premium.
