The Home Depot Canada Foundation believes that good neighbours make great neighbourhoods. The Foundation is dedicated to the development of affordable, environmentally sustainable housing and the creation of vibrant, environmentally responsible communities for Canadians.
Our resources are geared to supporting registered Canadian charitable organizations and other tax exempt entities whose work takes place in the communities where The Home Depot Canada has a retail presence.
We are committed to working with our associates, vendors and customers to support sustainable housing initiatives and local neighbourhood improvement projects that incorporate environmentally responsible practices.
Eligible projects include community improvement projects such as affordable, sustainable housing initiatives, and neighbourhood improvement projects including, but not limited to:
- An energy efficiency retrofit of a shelter
- A playground build/improvement project that encompasses environmentally responsible products and/or practices
- A landscaping, planting, green space beautification or conservation project designed to protect and preserve the Canadian environment
- An educational program designed to promote the importance of environmental responsibility
