Thank you to more than 400 participants who took part in the 2010 The Home Depot Charity Classic on August 18th. Together we raised a record $937,000! The proceeds from this event will help meet important needs in communities across Canada. Thank you again to our supplier community for your generosity.
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is pleased to announce its support for the 2010 Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup taking place between September 18th and 26th. Led by the Vancouver Aquarium, The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is a national conservation program that aims to educate Canadians about shoreline litter issues by engaging them in local shoreline cleanup initiatives. In addition to the Foundation’s monetary and product contributions, The Home Depot associates will support cleanup efforts at select sites across Canada this fall.
Sustainable Housing Grant Program Recipients
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of the Sustainable Housing Grant Program in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. The program was created to provide monetary, product and volunteer support to Habitat for Humanity affiliates across Canada that are building homes that incorporate environmentally responsible techniques and materials. Buy a Hammer, Build Our Community Campaign Reaches New Heights
The Buy a Hammer, Build Our Community campaign ran in all The Home Depot stores across Canada from June 3rd to July 4th. Thank you to all customers who supported this initiative. Funds raised will be used to support affordable, sustainable housing projects and local neighbourhood improvement in your community. Growing Greener Communities Grant Program Recipients
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is pleased to announce the 2010 recipients of the Growing Greener Communities Grant Program in partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. The program was created to provide monetary support to Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada that are completing projects that have an environmental focus.

We Are Now Accepting Community Grant Program Applications
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is now accepting applications for its Community Grants Program. This program provides grants of up to $5,000 to support small-scale community space or affordable housing projects that include sustainable building techniques and/or materials. It also provides grants for beautification and conservation projects/ programs.

Affordable Housing Grant Program Recipients
The Home Depot Canada Foundation awards Affordable Housing grants of up to $25,000 to Canadian registered charities completing projects that incorporate sustainable building techniques and/or materials.

Go Low Flow Event
The Home Depot Canada Foundation is the recipient of net proceeds through the 2010 'Go Low Flow' water conservation promotion at The Home Depot Canada Stores. Proceeds will help fund community beautification initiatives and energy efficiency improvement projects in affordable housing dwellings across Canada as part of our commitment to making our communities healthier to live in.

The Home Depot Canada Foundation is now accepting applications for the next cycle of its Affordable Housing Grant Program. This program provides grants of up to $25,000 to support affordable housing projects that incorporate sustainable (energy efficient) building techniques and/or materials.
