Thirty The Home Depot associates from across Durham Region came together to spruce up the YWCA Durham's Adelaide House. Projects included painting the common area entrance and main floor hallway, replacing broken ceiling tiles and painting steel doors.

On July 6 & 7, 2010 associates from The Home Depot Lethbridge store made their way down to the Lethbridge District Boys and Girls Club for a day of hands-on work in the club’s kindergarten room. The Kindergarten-age children were due for an update of their space. "The room had outdated paint and chipped walls and needed some color and fun injected into the children’s area", says Jeremy Riehl, Store Manager. "We prepped, painted, removed some blinds and plugs. Then we painted stencils of whales onto each of the walls. With 19 people on hand, the days went by quickly, and we loved seeing the results of our work at the end of the day. Those kids were going to come in the next day and have a much nicer environment to learn, play and grow in."
The Home Depot Canada has been proud to support the local projects of Boys & Girls Clubs across Canada with material and volunteer support for many years. In 2009, The Home Depot Canada and Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada solidified a partnership as part of their collective goal to provide healthy gathering spaces for children to thrive in. As such, The Home Depot will provide cash and gift card grants to Boys & Girls Clubs that are completing a project that will have a positive environmental impact on their facility and/or raise awareness about an environmental issue in their community.
