National Partnerships

The Home Depot Canada Foundation is proud to work with the following organizations who share our commitment to improving the lives of Canadians in need by supporting affordable housing, making lasting physical improvements to community spaces, and encouraging all Canadians to become active volunteers in their communities:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada
Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada
The Home Depot Canada has been proud to support the local projects of Boys & Girls Clubs across Canada with product and volunteer support for many years.
In 2009, The Home Depot Canada Foundation and Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada established a formal grant program. Through this program, the Foundation provides monetary and where possible, the support of The Home Depot associate volunteers to implement community projects that make lasting physical improvements to Clubs across Canada.
Evergreen
Evergreen
Since 2005, The Home Depot Canada has partnered with Evergreen to provide community groups across Canada with the funding, tools, materials and volunteers needed to complete community revitalization projects.
In addition, The Home Depot Canada and The Home Depot Canada Foundation have committed $1-million to support Evergreen Brick Works, a large-scale community centre in Toronto, ON designed to change the way Canadians think about nature, culture and community. The Home Depot associates visit the site multiple times each year to complete small build projects to meet site growth and programming needs.
Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup
The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup (GCSC) is a direct action conservation program of the Vancouver Aquarium that aims to promote understanding and education of shoreline litter issues by engaging Canadians in shoreline cleanup activities. For the past two years, The Home Depot Canada Foundation has been proud to provide funding and volunteer power to help make the cleanup a success from coast to coast.
Habitat for Humanity Canada

Since 1996, The Home Depot has been the largest supporter of Habitat for Humanity in Canada and currently donates over $4 million in funding and product as well as thousands of volunteer hours each year to affordable housing projects. Throughout 2011, The Home Depot supported Habitat for Humanity projects across Canada, focusing on the creation of sustainable, energy-efficient homes that provide lasting benefits to families in need.
Volunteer Canada
Volunteer Canada
The Home Depot is committed to supporting and empowering associates to make a difference in their local communities through volunteerism. We believe in the capacity of volunteers to bring change to communities; that's why we support Volunteer Canada, the national voice and leader of volunteerism. In 2005, The Home Depot helped form Canada's first Corporate Council on Volunteering, consisting of more than 20 corporate leaders from a variety of industries across Canada. Today, the Council is focused on the development and sharing of best practices for engaging the private sector in the charitable sector through volunteerism.
