Bought these on impulse to try out for doing custom automotive wiring. I should have known better. About half of these just snap when I tighten them. (I do use a cable-tie gun but it is set to the appropriate tension for a small tie.) Just by look and feel you can tell the inferior grade of plastic these are made from. I suppose if you only ever just pull these finger tight then they might be OK for casual use. These are going in my junk box. For anything you are serious about, get real T&B Tyraps. They cost a lot more but you're paying for quality.\n

Nearly every third cable tie breaks!! The little plastic piece that locks it as it tightens breaks off and then it doesn't lock into place! We thought that in some cases the cold temperatures were to blame and understand that however we use them in warm temperatures as well and the same result occurs!\n
