Converting Your Pond or Fountain to Solar Power
ASSESS THE NEEDS OF YOUR POND OR FOUNTAIN
Determine the best product for your needs and intended use. For fountains, consider the lift height and look for a comparable volume to the conventional pump included with your fountain. For pond use, consider the size and volume of the pump and desired effect via the fountain nozzles. Certain models will offer different features, including extended backup battery operation for overcast or evening use.
CHOOSE AND PREPARE THE PRODUCT
Choose the appropriate product for your pond or fountain. Read the included documents and understand the use, function and capabilities of your product. Prepare the product for use, ensuring it is properly assembled and connected to the necessary devices. Ensure any batteries are properly installed and securely sealed.
PLACE THE SOLAR PUMP IN YOUR POND OR FOUNTAIN
Place the pump inside the pond or fountain so it is free from any obstructions and fully submersed to circulate water. For fountain use, follow the included assembly instructions for plumbing the power cord through the fountain. As the solar panel is critical to the operation of this item, ensure it is placed in a location where it will obtain consistent direct sunlight.
