Eco Pillows

Unbleached painter's drop cloths, remnants of outdoor upholstery fabric, and ribbon can be transformed into a set of comfy outdoor cushions. When you come inside, simply hang your cushions on a rack until their ready to be used again.

3 Steps

Step 1

Sew Pillowcase & Attach Ribbon

Sew the pillowcase with right sides together. Next, sew an 8"" length of grosgrain ribbon into one of the corners of the pillow.

Sew the pillowcase with right sides together. Next, sew an 8" length of grosgrain ribbon into one of the corners of the pillow.

Add a Velcro Strip

Step 3

Add a Velcro Strip

Sew a Velcro strip along one side as it is being hemmed, so that the insert can be removed for easy cleaning. Next, turn the pillowcase right side in and add the pillow insert.
