Installing a Timer Switch

Project Overview

Installing a Timer Switch

Programmable timer switches turn lights on and off more than twice a day. This can create the illusion that people are at home while you are at work or on vacation. Electronic timer switches keep the light on for a selected number of minutes or hours before automatically shutting it off.

6 Steps

  1. Turn power OFF
  2. Remove
  3. Connect the black feed wire
  4. Cap the red wire
  5. Connect the white neutral wires together
  1. Restore power
