Turn planter upside down and, using a utility knife, cut 2 pieces of weed block landscape fabric to fit bottom of planter. Holding fabric down with masking tape makes it easier to cut a straight line. Set the fabric aside for Step 3.
Drill drainage holes
Using a drill with a 1/2" concrete bit, drill 4 drainage holes in base of planter.
Build growing base
Turn planter right side up and place one of the fabric pieces in the bottom. Add 2" 3" of 3/4" crushed stone for drainage. Be sure to rinse the crushed stone before using.
Plant seeds check your seed packet for recommended planting depth. Water carefully and keep moist. Then all you have to do is wait for your herbs to sprout.
