Customer ReviewsRated 5 out of 5 by Atilla from Great modern look I was looking for a modern square looking toilets to complete our bathrooms' reno and this one didn't disappoint - looks really great, works well and a soft closing lid is awesome. The only one who will not be in awe is your plumber as apparently it is tricky to install with hidden screws and being a heavy one pieceDate published: 2017-11-23Rated 1 out of 5 by JayWestVan from Misrepresented Product The product itself is high quality as I spent a lot of time researching a bowl height of 15" for my wife who is 5'2". After paying for shipping and installation, the bowl height is NOT as stated on the HomeDepot website (it's actually 17" with the seat height) and now my wife's legs fall asleep. I spoke to the Management at ParkRoyal and they were not helpful suggesting they are not responsible for manufacturer specifications. They sure are quick to take your money and leave you in a lurch; especially with substandard and unprofessional installers. I highly recommend another building supplier!Date published: 2017-08-06Rated 5 out of 5 by FredJ from Cosette is a good choice We had many goals in mind as we searched for a replacement toilet for our renovation. 1. We have a very small powder room – (4 ft. X 4 ft.), so a small footprint was probably our first (1a) objective. 2. The toilet is a fair way from the vertical main plumbing stack, the long horizontal distance (and the poor flushing performance of the incumbent toilet) meant that we were often plunging the toilet, so excellent flushing performance was our close second (1b) objective. 3. The toilet is perpendicular to the door (the side of the toilet is very apparent when entering the room), so we wanted something modern/sleek with more of a slab side look. 4. Lastly, it seems that the bottom flange (where the toilet bolts are), always gets dirty and is a pain to clean. So, if we could, we wanted to find design that eliminated this. Being an engineer, I have a tendency to research things intensively and try to find the absolute best solution. I am very happy with the American Standard Cosette solution we found. • The toilet has a small footprint (especially the width), while still offering an elongated bowl. Even though not sold as a “comfort height” toilet, and I’m 6’ 8”, I find the height to be very comfortable. The soft close seat and seat cover is “entertaining” for the first couple of times. The dual flush feature does save water, and overall this toilet is very water-efficient. • The flushing performance is outstanding. The MaP flushing performance rating is 800, which is very good, however there are other toilets with a 1000+ MaP rating, so this initially concerned me a little. Was I getting the best I could? Rest assured, this is a beast! We’ve purposely tried to see if we can plug this, but it’s met every test. • Love the look of this toilet. It does look better in real life than the pictures I’ve seen on line. The unique side access openings and covers for the recessed toilet bolts, make this look quite different than other toilets I’ve seen. However, this does make installation a little trickier, especially in small spaces. Being a one piece toilet, it is heavy, and not being able to see the toilet bolts directly, makes positioning challenging. We did solve this relatively easily though. Simply put a 2X4 across the toilet drain opening, immediately in front of the wax seal. Then place the toilet on the 2X4, close to where you think it should go. Then you can jockey it into perfect alignment to the toilet bolts, without having to deal with the weight of the toilet. Then slightly lift up the toilet, have someone slide out the 2X4 (2 person job), then then lower over the toilet bolts and seal onto the wax ring. Another thing I wanted to point out, the manufacturer does supply the toilet bolts with top threaded connectors that sandwich the toilet bolts on either side of the toilet flange so the toilet bolts stay straight up in position and don’t wobble. Great idea and makes getting everything aligned a little easier. • This toilet doesn’t have a lower horizontal flange, it is vertical all the way to the floor, so nothing to collect dust and “other” contaminants. I’m sure there are a lot of other good choices out there too. For the goals we had, this toilet has met or exceeded our objectives. Very pleased with this purchase. Very good value for the money.Date published: 2015-07-10Rated 4 out of 5 by EngYL from Great small Toilet Great toilet for a small bath room. It looks much better than the picture. Flush is powerful and quiet, even it is not so quiet as Toto. However, beware of the the installation, which is much more hassles than a conventional 2-piece. 1-pieces is much heavier than 2-piece. Getting the bolts in the bottle holes is really painful. The space for supply valve and line is also tight. They are the cost of neat look. It is worth after installation, even I almost gave up in the process. I would like to recommend if you are handy, strong and patient enough.Date published: 2014-11-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Autoworker from Fast flush Have been using for several weeks now and impressed with the flush power, aesthetics, and lower water usage. The footprint is slightly smaller than a regular elongated toilet as it"s a one piece but doesn't give up on the elongated part. It looks great with modern styling and sleek look. The flush mechanism is quite large and elaborate compared to cheaper models and takes up most of the inner tank area, The tank itself is also smaller than a standard toilet. We love the dual flush feature and both flush quietly, Quickly and very powerfully. amazing for a water sense certified model I would recommend spending a few more dollars on this model ( especially if on sale) as the quality of the flush cycle and the inner mechanism is far superior. we give this model 5 starsDate published: 2014-10-24
