Worked fine for the first six months, but then the gfi had to be replaced twice...once they sent us a free replacement but it wasn’t a correct match so we went and bought a better fit. Next the heater died 6 months out of warranty, after owning only 18 months. The only solution the company offered was to give them $300 to ‘upgrade’ $1800 on the hot tub, since they do not even stock parts for the model that they sold us (and apparently still sell via Home Depot here) an additional $350 on the hard cover for JUNK. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT do not business with this company!!!!!!Date published: 2018-11-15Rated 1 out of 5 by 1terribleco from DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Now the heater does not work and the hose carrying the water through the heater is kinked. We have gone above what is required for maintenance. When we contacted customer service they wanted us to upgrade for $450.00. When we said no, they found a piece that might help for the hose and took our credit card for shipping charges. That was two weeks ago. Nothing has been delivered and now they are not returning our emails. Terrible customer service! Beware.Date published: 2018-08-09Rated 1 out of 5 by Tiff from AVOID AS YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS- GUARANTEED. This ran well for about 5 months, then E3 error cod... AVOID AS YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS- GUARANTEED. This ran well for about 5 months, then E3 error code started to flash and would not heat the water. Took it down to store over the winter, and was sent a new PCU as it was still under it's one year warranty. Well, that lasted about 6 months and then E3 error code again! Alas, not under warranty anymore so must spend $550 plus tax (and hurry because this low offer is limited and then it goes up to $800!) for new PCU, just in time to be stored all winter. I bite the bullet, spend the $$, have it running 3 weeks, store it indoors over the winter, then set it up last weekend. Guess what? E3 error code, AND no warranty! Since it was on sale, there's only a 6 MONTH warranty apparently (who knew???, which was used up while it sat inside my house all winter! Repairs to the new unit will be at my expense. Not worth the time, money and hassle.Date published: 2018-05-16Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed from Don’t do it! When I tried to purchase the replacement the price had doubled costing 2/3 of the original price for the whole spa. They say it has been upgraded but there are no stats to agree in fact the new one only heat to 103. In a New England winter 103 drops to 95 quickly. Please heed my warning before spending your hard earned money.Date published: 2018-02-09Rated 4 out of 5 by frog from like it... like itDate published: 2017-07-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Smirv1 from Totally worth it. We bought out spa a month ago and have been so pleased with it. It was so easy to assemble (even with the wrong directions). It was hot within 36 hours and maintains heat surprisingly well. We have a family of four and we all got in it comfortably together. We are in it almost everyday!! We also chose to use bromine which we were also pleased with. I would fully recommend this product.Date published: 2017-07-08Rated 1 out of 5 by Mike from AVOID AT ALL COST. Purchased last fall. Hardly used. Put out again for Canada Weekend and will no... AVOID AT ALL COST. Purchased last fall. Hardly used. Put out again for Canada Weekend and will not work. Troubleshooting error code E3 states to simply 'but a new control unit'. Yes, sure.... pay that much money for something and use it 10 or 12 times... then buy a new control unit for $600.00 every 10 months. No problem. Much smarter to spend a but more and get something dependable.Date published: 2017-07-02Rated 2 out of 5 by dissapointed steve from buyer beware Having this hot tub was a dream come true at first! The heat, the jets, the materials, all above my expectations ... I never thought it could be so wonderful at this price point... but after only 3 weeks the side began to cave in. Customer service said the 1/4 inch over 6 foot slope caused this. Now to be fair, customer service is as good as it gets at Canadian Spa, but you should know that this tub needs a perfectly level surface and if that's not possible, don't buy it! My tub is in limbo until I either pour another concrete pad or sell it on craigslist... There are no long term reviews that I've read so perhaps I'm not the only one... and I would've given this a 5 star too in the first week!Date published: 2017-01-24
Just making sure this is a complete foam lined wall and not an inflatable spa (no need to put air to keep it's form)? Is the cover that comes with the spa is the hard top cover good for harsh winter? The walls of the Swift Current Portable Spa are foam, the only inflatable portion of the spa is the cover. A hard top foam cover is available for the Swift Current, which is ideal for colder temperatures.Date published: 2017-05-08
I am concerned with the pricing of this item. I saw it advertised for sale some months ago at just under $1,000.00 then it was not listed on your site. Came back at $1,595.00 and remained at that price for some time. Now on sale for $1,500.00 Hi there. We apologize for any confusion this might have caused, but we don't set the prices for Home Depot.Date published: 2016-12-04
Can the spa be used outdoors in winter time? What is the coldest it can get for the hot tub to run safely?Yes, the Swift Current can be used outside all year, it is built to withstand harsh Canadian winters. I would recommend the hard top cover option to protect your spa and maximize heat retention.Date published: 2016-12-23
