Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to install 5-star in my mind. These GFCIs are slightly smaller than those of another brand, thereby enabling them to fit into a tighter space. The connections for wires are extremely easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install and both Work New regulations require that I upgrade the receptacles near my kitchen sink to GFCI receptacles. These were cheap and both are still working after a month and a half.

The green light went off and I can't reset it. Why & how do I fix this?

The circuit overloaded & I reset the main circuit board. All other outlets returned to normal function except these outlets. Why did this happen? Also, the outlet itself seems warm to the touch. Is this normal?? PLEASE HELP!
    Asked by: Anonymous
It is not normal and you need to have an electrician take a look at your circuit. There is a fault that must be fixed. The GFCIs will not reset unless the underlying issue is corrected. It may also be that the surge or short may have damaged the GFCIs to the point where they may need to be replaced. Contact an electrician

Does a GFCI receptacle have to be wired directly back to the main panel?

    Asked by: Anonymous
No not necessarily but in different provinces there is a possibility that local codes state other wise. It is preferable that it is so it is not affected by different electrical factors caused by devices plugged into receptacles. Upstream or other devices being powered on that circuit. Hoping this information is helpful.
