Customer ReviewsSolar Pest Repeller is rated out of 5 by 4.Rated 1 out of 5 by Werner from Completely useless product We are having problems with deer eating our shrups. This item sounded like a good idea but it has proven to be a extremely poor designed and non operational product. We live on vancouver island and although the company that manufactures this says it can be used in any weather it is not waterproof. From the beginning it was very erratic in its operation. Sometimes it would start its alarm for no reason and other times you could walk in front of it and nothing would happen. Once it rained for a couple days it stopped working completely. It was purchased online and the receipt was deleted so I cant return the product.Date published: 2018-12-17Rated 4 out of 5 by Oakie from Works great for crows Happy I invested o this product. It works well for cows but does not deter geese.Date published: 2018-07-03Rated 3 out of 5 by mike from perhaps useful with other methods I looked into several non-harmful ways to chase away some stubborn voles digging up dirt in the front and back. This product came highly recommended and its accurately advertised that the product is not a miracle solution that will work instantly. I've been using it for a bit over a month and it does seem to have displaced the vole activity away, but then again this morning there's another big mound of dirt right in front of one of the repellers (both 'eagle' audio and night light flashing are on). So I'll be bumping the volume up a bit more. It's likely to work best with traps, but my goal is to not harm these critters. The product works well (it's rained several times and some condensation on the solar panel on one, but it's functioning well). I bought three of these given the need to cover various angles, and it's not cheap, but beats previously failed efforts using traps, and sulpher smoke 'bombs', which just displaces the voles. If anything the repeller may be more useful to keep hares and other animals away from gardens, but the instructions even underscore how difficult it is with voles and moles.Date published: 2018-06-05Rated 2 out of 5 by Ironhawk from A ‘Sometime’ thing We were getting so tired of planting flowers that deer found delicious that we bought two solar pest repellers. At first the dogs barking when anything moved worked fine - and amused the neighbours. But after only 10 days sometimes the dogs barked, sometimes not. Also, opening the units to enable setup or change programs was extremely difficult.Date published: 2018-05-08
Is the volume adjustable? The raccoons come around at night and destroy our lawn but the last thing I want is to annoy the neighbourhood with sounds of "gun shots" and "barking dog" in the middle of the night.Hi, The volume is adjustable on the unit. You can also put the unit in night mode Which would only activate the strobbing light at night instead of the sound. Thank you.Date published: 2018-04-17
