Elegant, high quality with attention to detail, the ANSI approved LWP attic ladder is made from quality pinewood assembled in three sections. The LWP is equipped with a locking mechanism that is installed inside the insulated and sealed door panel. Length of ladder may be adjusted within 1 inch after cutting the side rails to set the ladder level on the floor. Construction of the ladder provides more steps (tread rise about 10 inch) to improve safety and comfort. A, red, metal handrail is included and may be installed on either side of the ladder to increase safety and comfort. Springs are located on door surface to make entry to attic wider and more comfortable (the widest entrance on market - compare to other products). Door is well balanced - it opens and closes easily (NO sudden movements). Ladder fits in rough opening 22 1/2 in. x 54 in. and ceiling heights 7 ft. 11 in. to 10 ft. 9 in.
- 1 3/8in. thick sandwich door with 1 3/8 in. thick insulation inside, R-value 5.9; sealed with rubber gasket

Customer ReviewsAttic Ladder (Wooden Insulated) LWP 22 1/2x54 300lbs 10ft 9in is rated out of 5 by 13.Rated 3 out of 5 by honest opinion from Good product, some parts are added purchases I got it on time for pickup at my local HD store. Well packaged and in excellent order. Installation video identifies certain parts which are shown to be included but are not... plastic foot ends, bracket to install, depending on video, there are 2 different kinds. I used the workaround, 2 2x4 screwed to ceiling to hold it. You need at least 10 3 inch screws and some shims. Also had to add a string to pull it down, ceiling is 10ft 6 inches + I needed to drill a whole to safely pull down the flip up (last length) of the ladder with the locking pole. Do not tie a rope to it and pull, ypu will give yourself a cuncushion.Date published: 2018-06-08Rated 4 out of 5 by NotSantaClaus from So thankful there was a longer option for attic ladders... So thankful there was a longer option for attic ladders in a 22.5 in. x 54 in opening. Quality seems good. Install was relatively simple. Fakro resolved my only issue by sending replacement latch via mail in less than a week.Date published: 2018-05-31Rated 5 out of 5 by HomeDepotCustomer from 5 Star Review Rating provided by a verified purchaserDate published: 2017-11-22Rated 4 out of 5 by Gregory from 4 Star Review Rating provided by a verified purchaserDate published: 2017-08-17Rated 2 out of 5 by Mike from Went to store for pick up and product frame was broken. Hopefully third time was a charm. Went to pick up the third time and plastic clip to hold door was broken so I accepted it anyway. Called company and they sent clips in the mail. During installation I was concerned about the flimsy 3/4 inch pine frame held together with staples. Of course during installation frame separated. Had to glue and screw to fix. Frame needs to built much stronger to improve quality using either glued biscuit or doweled frame but just staples is very poor quality construction. Would of given it a 1/5 stars, but gave it 2/5 because metal parts, stairs and other parts were better quality. Only reason I purchased this was because this was the only commercial product that would fit my attic frame. Would not recommend this product due to poor quality frame construction susceptible to being broken. Not worth the price.Date published: 2017-08-11Rated 1 out of 5 by deebo from This attic ladder is a piece of garbage. They squeezed in the extra ladder length by reducing the... This attic ladder is a piece of garbage. They squeezed in the extra ladder length by reducing the size of the frame. It was also packed poorly and arrived broken, but it was of such poor quality that I didn't bother with getting a new one. I would not recommend this product for any purpose. It's a liability to homeowners and builders.Date published: 2017-07-25Rated 4 out of 5 by ProView from Good product, clips damaged in shipping. Works well.... Good product, clips damaged in shipping.
