Be careful, you will use a lot of staples.Date published: 2016-11-15Rated 5 out of 5 by RednexToyz from Less Fatigue than a hand-stapler I have ogled over the 18v & pneumatic staplers for quite some time but the high-dollar price point of these staplers was never really in my budget. Enter the HDX Pneumatic Fine-Wire Stapler! Value-Priced with great performance! Light .... Very Light! Easy to use with no safety mechanism on the trigger to fumble with. As long as the safety tip is depressed against the work surface, a gentle pule of the trigger will deploy a staple. Continue down the work surface pulling the trigger & you will deploy more staples yielding a job well done with no fatigue! Uses the most common staples; T50 ranging from 1/4" to 9/16". A simple adjustment of the air pressure will increase/decrease the drive depth of the staple depending on the material you are driving thru & into. Denser materials will require slightly more pressure. The stapler uses very little volume of air so this can be driven with ease off a small "pancake" compressor with ease. Worked well with my small, light-weight 1/4" air hose. The rear of the gun has a rotatable “exhaust” port allowing the air it releases to be exhausted away from you and/or your work surface. Comes pre-installed with a Type I/M air fitting /w dust cap, wrenches & oil. Follow the instructions for oiling procedures. No case included BUT it fits perfectly in a Husky 12" Document Bag (P/N 257138) for ~$3.00. My uses so far have included: Upholstery, tacking insulation to studs & tacking felt paper to the roof. I'm CERTAIN I will find many more projects in the near future that this will be ideal for!Date published: 2013-12-10Rated 4 out of 5 by Jason31 from Great stapler, low cost and so much easier than a hand stapler Everyone has an old staple gun and it is always hard to squeeze the trigger and never goes in as far as it should. The pneumatic version makes the work so much easier. It uses the same staples and drives them to the proper depth. The safety ensures you not about to shoot a staple into your hand. The safety does not need to be reset like some nail guns so you can shoot a staple and then slide the gun along the material and shoot again. I have yet to jam it or have any loading problems, the stapler is very reliable. I recommend this for all upholstery work, drywall shims, even tacking down roofing felt.Date published: 2013-12-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimbo from Freeman Fine Wire Stapler Very good quality. It delivers the T-50 staples various lengths from 1/4 to 9/16 flush to the project leaving no damage from the stapler. As fast as you can pull the trigger the staple is set in your project. It has a safety arm that must be depressed to the surface of the project or it will not fire but if slid down the project surface you can deliver multiple staples. Great for installing plastic film storm windows, upholstering furniture and anything that a staple can hold. The uses are endless. I have only tried a few but am sure I will find many many more uses in the future. It is lite-weight and easy to use. And the T-50 staples various sizes are readily in stock at Home Depot.Date published: 2013-12-02Rated 4 out of 5 by rrs25 from Great buy! Am using to put together a chicken coup, and it's made the job 100 times faster than my old stapler. Love it, especially since I got it on sale.Date published: 2013-07-07
