Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but delicate! Very easy to install, looks great but damages so easily! We have scratch marks from the cat running across it. Our previous cork floor was much more durable than this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install and seamless. Easy to install and looks great. Delivery was also quick. Had to return one box which HD took back no questions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks great and it is softer I purchased the cork flooring for my mud room at the front entrance as I was informed by the Home Depot flooring staff that it will hold up better to the salt, snow and water from the environment. Still have not installed it yet but I really like the looks of the Burnished straw. It also has some cushion to flooring which should be easier on the knees, hips and feet. Not sure how it will hold up against fading or wear and tear but I am hoping that it last a long time. As for the looks I would recommend it to anyone but it is still too early to tell about the wear and tear.

Dear QEP In our case we have in-floor heating system in our concrete basement floor. A vapour barrier was installed under the concrete floor slab. Do you still recommend the polyethylene over the heated concrete?

    Asked by: Logical7
Hi! No , if you already have moisture protection you should be good to go! Thank you for your interest in our products.

Will this cork floor be damaged if relatively heavy furniture is sitting on it? (for example, about 160lb)

    Asked by: Rolf
Wood and cork may dent from heavy furniture, appliances, etc. Feet should be fitted with protective felt-type protectors. For very narrow feet, it would be beneficial to use larger floor protectors to dissipate the weight.

    1. What is the formaldehyde emission level? I understand it meets the CARB emissions, which is pretty lax, however I need the actual emission level, as I'm allergic to it. 2. Do you have a soundproofing wallpaper as well (based on cork perhaps)?

    Asked by: Rolf
CARB (California Air Resources Board) Phase II certification caps emission levels at .05 ppm (parts per million), so all floors will be below that. This item is also Greenguard Gold certified, the most stringent certification in the industry for VOC's and formaldehyde emissions. You can see more specific information at the Greenguard website here: http://greenguard.org/en/manufacturers/manufacturer_childrenSchools.aspx

Can under floor heating wire be used on cork floor product?

    Asked by: Carolyn
QEP cork floors are approved for use over radiant-heated subfloors. Subfloor surface temperature should not exceed 82 degrees, there should be even heating with no hot/cold spots, and the system should allow for the temperature to be adjusted in no greater than 5 degree increments. Please check with the heating system manufacture for suitability.

I was wondering what the durability rating is on this product (Janka) ? I am interested for the basement but have two medium sized dogs and would hate to see their paws cause any noticeable damage.

    Asked by: marienf
There is no Janka rating for cork. Pet nails should be kept trimmed regularly and it would be beneficial to use rugs/runners in their most heavily trafficked areas, particularly in pivot areas.

I was wondering if the cork flooring would be good for bathrooms? Why or why not.

    Asked by: Sammy
QEP cork floors are approved for use in kitchens and half-baths, but not recommended for full-bath installations due to the large humidity and temperature swings associated with using tubs/showers.
