I was pleased with the price but somewhat concerned over the lightweight construction of the pole. I hope it lasts!Date published: 2018-07-17Rated 4 out of 5 by Callie from Happy with Purchase So far I am very pleased with this umbrella. My only suggestion would be that it comes with an attached tie to wrap around the umbrella when it's folded down. Also of course, we had to purchase a base as it did not come with one.Date published: 2018-06-07Rated 5 out of 5 by 7y4e579 from Island Umbrella Mirage 9 ft. Good qualityDate published: 2017-08-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Tony House Renovator from Higher Quality Than Most Other Umbrellas Paid about double the cost of the more generic umbrellas that Home Depot and other retailers carry. For the extra cost you get much better quality umbrella fabric, stronger mechanism, and the auto-tilt function that we use all the time. Owned it for a month now with no issues other than it did not come with a tie to wrap around the umbrella when not in use - so bought a 12 inch bungy cord for that purpose.Date published: 2017-07-15Rated 2 out of 5 by Christian from Visually nice, not reliably built We used this umbrella for a month, and it was mostly a good value for that time period. Canvas was nice (but the weave could've been a little tighter. We still had speckles of light coming through). Biggest problem was that when we had it tilted and a breeze came by, the mechanism tension was high enough that the umbrella would snap back into an upright position. We fixed this by wrapping a rubber band around the pole and connecting both ends to the crank handle, effectively keeping it in place. The biggest problem with this umbrella, is that it mysteriously gave out. After closing it one night and putting it back the way we always do, we came out the next day and the mechanism was completely broken. Maybe just a little too cheaply built. We have since returned it and picked up another brand which will hopefully last a little longer. Kudos however to Home Depot's amazing return policy.Date published: 2016-05-28
