The toilet looks very nice and the touchless flush sounds like a good idea, however, the lid of the toilet seat is so long that you have to always close it to reach the flush mechanism. We actually changed to a commercial toilet seat without a lid for my elderly mother. Also, the touchless button is very finicky. Your hand must be about 1/4 inch away for it too flush, or you can tap it lightly, which renders it no longer touchless. I wouldn't buy it again.Date published: 2019-03-05Rated 5 out of 5 by Ben from Despite shipped to store and destroyed outer box. Goods were... Despite shipped to store and destroyed outer box. We purchased two of these for our new home in October of 2016. The electronic "touchless" sensors have failed on both toilets. Kohler has been unresponsive to our requests. While they look nice I would not recommend.Date published: 2017-07-24Rated 1 out of 5 by parkview from This is a really nice toilet. It truly is sleek and beautiful as much as a toilet can be. However... This is a really nice toilet. It truly is sleek and beautiful as much as a toilet can be. However, all of that fades as soon as you realize that the sensor flush mechanism is a total piece of garbage. I have had this toilet a little less than a year. At the 4 month mark the sensor failed so Kohler sent me a replacement. I'm now at the 10 month mark and the sensor has completely failed again so for the last two days I have been trying to call Kohler's customer support phone line only to repeatedly hear the same recorded message alerting to me high call volume and suggesting I find my answer on Kohler.com and then hanging up on me....yes that's right...the phone system will not allow you to hold for a representative it simply hangs up on you. Nice customer service Kohler...is this what we consumers pay a premium price for or is that for your outstanding quality...well please excuse me for saying so but in my case you failed miserably on both points!!! So now I'm stuck with a $700 toilet that doesn't work and being forced to repeatedly call Kohler's customer care line hoping to catch them at a time when someone is free to take my call since the phone system will not allow me to hold until a representative becomes available. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE MODEL!!! MY ADVICE IS TO NOT ONLY RUN FROM THIS TOILET BUT ALSO RUN FROM KOHLER if this is how they are going to treat their customers. Shame on you Kohler!!!Date published: 2017-05-31Rated 1 out of 5 by JON1 from This is an expensive toilet! The top cover does not fit properly. The toilet seat creaks when you... This is an expensive toilet! The top cover does not fit properly. The toilet seat creaks when you sit on it. Very cheap. KOHLER is supposed to be a good name. NOT!!!!! I need two more toilets for my present remodel. They will NOT be KOHLER products!Date published: 2017-01-06Rated 4 out of 5 by Deweydude from The SSTC is a well designed, nice looking, and efficient toilet. We purchased two of them and ha... The SSTC is a well designed, nice looking, and efficient toilet. We purchased two of them and have had them about two months. The touchless feature is more sanitary, however, I am not sure that it is worth the extra money. It is very sensitive to flush. You need to pass your hand within an inch of the sensor, not just wave over the top of it. IMHO for this amount of money the SSTC should come with a soft-closing lid but it did not. Purchased two American Standard soft-closing lids because they were the best fitting and best looking. Butt overall it's nice.Date published: 2016-12-09Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Auto flush Bought 2 of these. One lasted 6 months the other 2 years. I loved the toilet while we had it but auto flushing every 20 seconds is (I'm looking for a word)... just tore them both out, no longer using kohler.Date published: 2016-10-20Rated 1 out of 5 by Zulu from The FIX Forget Kohler's repair advice. The foam pad they send out to solve the ghost flushing issue doesn't work for long and immediately started to grow mold. Instead cut the foam pad into strips about 1/4 inch wide, you will need 6. Take the tank lid off. There is a raised lip the lid sits on. Apply strips of foam to the left and right side and in the middle of the front. Apply strips on top of each other, 3 spots doubled up. This raises the tank lid and balances it. It still fits properly and secure and lifts the lid enough to allow it to breathe and you can get a finger in under the back. Lifting the lid causes the flush sensor to not work. I had a piece of plastic rod you may be able to use foam strips. Place under the sensor bracket lifting sensor up to match lid lift. This slightly tilts the sensor forward so I gently bent the bracket toward the back making the sensor sit level and my problem has been solved. The toilet works, no ghost flushing so far. I still have some moisture under tank lid but much less than before and it is not dripping onto my sensor. You are welcome Kohler my invoice is in the mailDate published: 2016-09-25
