Overview

1000 Live Ladybugs covers 10 sq m, ( 353 ft sq.) Ladybugs bring good luck! Do you have problems with aphids in your flower gardens, roses or trees? We have the environmentally friendly answer. Native live ladybugs will eliminate your problems. These ladybugs are friendly - they do not bite, nor do they become a problem in your home. Their only interest is to find pest insects to feed on.

• Scientific name: Hippodamia convergens . Ladybugs feed primarily on Aphids, Mites, Scale, Thrips, Whiteflies, plus small larva and eggs of other pest insects
• Adult 8-10 mm (1/3-3/8") beetle with a black and white head, black legs, wing covers tha are orange red with black markings. Adults live for 3-4 months eating 10-55 pests per day
• Eggs are laid usually amongst aphid colonies or where soft bodied pest insect eggs are found. , 3-25 eggs in a cluster per day on the under side of leaves. These eggs hatch in approximately 7 days
• Larva are black alligator shaped with 4 red/orange markings on their back. The larva grows for 21-28 days feeding like a teenager on 100-300 pests/day. The larva have no wings so remain on the plant cleaning up the pest insect problems
• Pupa - This is the stage where the larva becomes and adult beetle - this takes about 7 days - at this stage they do not feed
• Live Ladybugs are available from early June through Sept for outdoor release and all year for indoor release.Come with full instructions. They must be kept refrigerated untill released over a two week period for best results
