    Rated 2 out of 5 by from Black Stainless peeling I really like this fridge..we bought GE appliances for our rental that have a matte finish. We liked the Black Stainless..looks incredible...however 8 days after our warranty is done I notice that the finish is peeling off the freezer. We only use water or windex to clean the fridge with a soft cloth. Our GE appliances..cheaper and no issues. LG suggests I paint it with touchup paint....poor quality finish on an expensive fridge. I won't be buying another one!

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM LG! I have no words in which to describe the call I just had with one of LG’s supervisors. We bought the fridge in Dec 2017. Not even a year old and already the door does not close and ice forms INSIDE tupperware! Not happy about this at all! It is the first product we have bought from LG and does not speak well AT ALL for LG products. The other issue is customer serv. I first called to book an appointment in June. I was given an appt, but because there was some confusion on LG's part, it had to be canceled. The date the repair person was given, was not the same as we had requested and we would not be home on that date. I called today to book an appt and was told, as previously, that LG only books appts for the current week. I asked for Fri. afternoon (Sept 21). I was willing to compromise and take the afternoon off to get the repairs done. I was told there were no slots open. I then asked for an advance appt for Oct 1 and was told that while the request could be made, it could not be guaranteed. That I would be notified ONLY the day before whether or not it could be confirmed. So in essence, I would be taking the day off work, but would not know until the previous day whether or not the repair person would be over to do the repairs?? Where would this leave me if there were no slots available for the day I had booked time off and lost wages? Is LG going to reimburse me? I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was connected to her (I am being kind and not mentioning names). After we had discussed the dilemma, she kept telling me about only being able to schedule appts for the current week and I kept reiterating that I was aware of that and that LG needs to change this system. That it should consider client’s conveniences and needs - not the other way around. She offered me other inconvenient options and after us going back and forth said that if I could not accept, she would end the call! Going so far as saying and I quote -"I can hang up.. you know I can do that?".. she took it even further - saying that she could not help it if I couldn't take the day off and stay home for the repair person! WOW!! To say I am shocked, is putting it mildly! Because I felt she was not willing to find a solution, I asked for the Head of the dept. She said she was it! That it was as high as I could go on the Managerial level to speak with someone at LG! While I recognize that it is LG that needs to change the scheduling system - taking into consideration client’s needs and not their own, I am very upset and strongly believe the manner in which I was spoken to by her, should be addressed. Besides being rude, the issue was not resolved - she did NOTHING to help the situation and came across as very resistant and defiant. Definitely NOT something a first time buyer of LG products needs to experience. I called Home Depot who we had bought the fridge from and explained the issue to Busayo at Customer service - thank you Busayo. What a difference in conversation between her and the person at LG! Busayo called LG and got Leo on the phone for me - also a huge diff in conversation! Leo said he had put in a request for this Fri. He was very professional and said that this (today) was only Monday, they had ample time to consider the request for Fri. but would also put in a request for the alternate date just in case - thank you Leo. Why had the other person refused to do so? This is definitely not how I wished to start out my week and based on today’s experience, I can say that the fridge WILL BE the first and last product we have/will ever buy from LG!
