I was excited to see this was on sale and went to purchase for my basement. Only to see that the company jacked up the price to sell out the stock! Was considering buying another floor by them but will not use Lifeproof or recommend for any one else. Poor business practice!Date published: 2019-02-21Rated 5 out of 5 by Gdio from Really beautiful, just not the right shade of gray for... Really beautiful, just not the right shade of gray for what I am looking for.The quality is really nice @nd I am disappointed that the color doesn’t work for me on this project. I would prefer a plank shape too.Date published: 2019-02-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Terminator from Excellent design make for a super easy installation; the foam... Excellent design make for a super easy installation; the foam core and built-in underlayment/cushion are great aids in eliminating "clacking" against a concrete subfloor. I love the tile look for my exercise room versus all the wood-grain products. It also has a lifetiime warranty for residential use.Date published: 2019-02-05Rated 2 out of 5 by MERW from Very Disappointed This is the first time I have ever written a review, but the disappointing final result of this product deserves a comment. After much research, we decided that these tiles were our best choice for our basement reno. I ordered 20 boxes and hired a professional installer. On installation day, we had a coffee and watched your installation video to make sure that he understood intricacies of the connection system. I worked with him initially to see the process. Your recommendation for cutting with the a utility knife and snapping the tile is physically very difficult and did not provide a consistent straight edge. (So much so that we switched to using a table saw to cut the tiles) The easy drop lock connection system was not easy and didn’t provide smooth connection between tiles. Over all, the tile is installed and the floor will serve the purpose, however I am very disappointed with the fit between tiles. Many of the joins are clearly visible and in many cases the edges between the tiles can be felt when walking over them in socks. So between the not so easy tile installation and the inexperience of the installer with this product, (yes we’ll take our share of the responsibility), it has turned out to be an expensive project with a disappointing result that we’ll just have to live with.Date published: 2019-02-02Rated 5 out of 5 by Mark from Very nice look easy to install sharp design... If Allure is not suitable in outbuildiong, any suggestions for other water resistant vinyl flooring ?Thank you for your question- All of the Allure products must be kept climate controlled. The Lifeproof product is 100% waterproof, but can not withstand floods.Date published: 2018-04-10
Am thinking of installing The Allure Click Vinyl tiles on a Boathouse moisture proof plywood floor. I see the specification comment about 'for temperature controlled environments only'. Does this preclude install in such an unheated outbuilding?Thank you for your question- The required temperature must stay between 50-100 degrees year around. We do not recommend installing in areas that are not kept climate controlledDate published: 2018-04-07
