Overview
Exclusive to Square D loadcentres this surge protector is a UL Listed/CSA certified Secondary Surge Arrester. It is designed for use on single phase, three wire 120/240 electrical services. When a surge causes the voltage to exceed its normal value the surge arrester clamps the voltage and diverts the transient current until the surge passes. There is nothing to replace or reset on this device. Secondary Surge arresters may not protect solid state or electronic equipment from all lightning induced or other large power surges.
