The chuck is pressed on and is not fastened causing it to fall off with no way to Fasten it permanently. I have many ryobi tools and this is the only one I’m an disappointed with.

It was a little messy as the lubrication used for the gears etc was all over the parts and packaging. But overall not too bad. The press itself is excellent, but the laser crosshairs work well with stock drill bits, but not with hole cutters

Product is advertised as being able to take mortising attachments. If so, what brand of attachments? What size of Quill does it have, as some mortising attachments require 55mm, 60mm or 65mm quills in order to work.

    Asked by: Jason
Hi Jason, The 10-Inch Drill Press with Laser, will accommodate most standard mortising attachments. The quill travel is two inches or about 55 mm. Thank you!

Hello. 1. What does the laser actually do??? 2. What mortising attachment goes with this, that I can purchase? For mortising and tenon? Thanks

    Asked by: joanne
On a drill press, the laser is used to provide a centerimg alignment from the center of the drill chuck (which happens to be the drill bit centre, so that you can easily align and clamp your workpiece before pulling down on the drill press handle.
