Rated 3 out of 5 by from It does cut wood well. First I tried to buy this saw on the store. Was told it was out of stock would take a few days to get it in, ok fine order it in. Continue to do shopping while ordering the saw on line. The saw was ready for pick up before I left the store. Weird right. The saw is very difficult to start I think there is a primer issue, well take care of this myself much easier than returning.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just garbage Purchased one. Sealed box. Got home, it was missing vital parts needed to ensure chain remained on spool, chain kept coming off. Exchanged it for another. Worked fine for an hour or so, when I went to start it up again, it has completely seized. This machine was operated by a very experienced chainsaw user, not your average joe. Don’t buy this product. Quality control isn’t there.

I will say my saw ran a little funky when unboxed it but I tuned the highspeed adjustement and turned the idle down to perfect runs like a champ now would highly recommend

As a professional landscaper, I bought this chainsaw four months ago because I needed a backup one in a pinch for a job. I have to say it's a tough tough saw for the consumer user. It's very easy to start, powerful, well balanced, and well built compared to most chainsaws sitting on the shelf. I do highly recommend buying the Oregon brand replacement chain because it's a slight bit more aggressive than the stock chain this came with, but for most users even that chain is fine. Sure, the chainsaw leaks bar oil when stored. Most chainsaws will leak bar oil. Some leak more than others. My Echo is terrible at doing that too. Store your chainsaw in a tray. If you're storing your chainsaw long term, it's not a bad idea to drain the oil out. In summary, if you want a tough, reliable, high end consumer saw, this one is it. Sure, I saw some junk on the shelf at Home Depot, Homelite especially giving me the crappiest firsthand store impression. VERY CHEAP and bordering on flimsy. Treat this saw right and you should have years of good use.
