This has been going on for over a year, but just have not had time to get it fixed. Consumer Reports gives this (and most Samsung microwaves) terrible reviews for reliability. We have only Samsung TVs (4) and computer parts (HD and memory). Love them. Don't buy a Samsung microwave.Date published: 2019-03-15Rated 1 out of 5 by Ryan from Stopped heating This microwave stopped heating as soon as the warranty expired (1 year). I called Samsung to report the problem and see how to correct it. I was told that because the warranty had expired, I was out of luck. I expect a microwave to last more than a year. I would not recommend this unit and I would like to see Home Depot stop selling inferior Samsung products.Date published: 2019-03-15Rated 1 out of 5 by Peeves from After 18 months, the bottom half of the handle separated from the door. The product is only under warranty for one year. Cost to repair would be $100 for the service call plus cost of replacement part (app. $30) plus labor. In other words, well over half the cost of the microwave to repair a machine that was so poorly made that it broke after 18 months. I will never buy a GE appliance again.Date published: 2019-03-13Rated 1 out of 5 by AlexTWC from The thermal fuse burnt out after 20 months. I have ever used 4 microwave ovens and this one is th... The description above says in one location 1000 w of cooking power and in another it 950 w of cooking power. Which is it?
does this unit need to be vented outside like a hood vent?
