Looks nice, door handles are not bulky like in some other brands. Quality and configuration of shelving is ok. Ice and water duspencer take a lot of space. Freezer is small. Samsung’s blue protective film is impossible to remove completely.Date published: 2019-03-12Rated 1 out of 5 by Jim from We bought ours from HD in 2017 and in March 2019 the upper part of the fridge started to freeze a... We bought ours from HD in 2017 and in March 2019 the upper part of the fridge started to freeze all of the food. We bought the 3 yr warranty. So we limped buy for 4 weeks waiting for the service people to come out using ext. devices to store our food and using the freezer below that still worked. Then the morning of the day the service people were to come out we had a catastrophic failure with the entire unit did a defrost at 2am in the morning, we woke up to water on our hardwood floors and all of the food had to be tossed out. At this point I don't know what to buy as Samsung, LG, etc. all say great stuff on CR, HD, etc. however when you dig into it you find out that these devices are having a greater failure rate then what you read on multiple sites that state how great they are. So the question is reliability? What is these days? So far I cant tell as even the $4k and up units are having the same issues. My hope is to buy a simple unit with no water or ice maker, and one condenser unit. Be carful and buy the warranty but avoid this product, it looks nice but is a ticking time bombDate published: 2019-03-07Rated 1 out of 5 by Paul from Stay away from Samsung Bought a similar model a year ago. Samsung are notorious for icing up the ice makers. The defrost system doesn't work properly resulting in you having to either chop away ice in the ice maker or manually defrosting the fridge every 4 to 6 months. About six months ago the icemaker stopped working. At this point I need to deice the icemaker with a hairdryer to get it to work again. I need to do this every two weeks. There is no fix for this. Read the Samsung community boards before purchasing. It’s a big problem.Date published: 2019-02-23Rated 1 out of 5 by Rob D from Terrible-Many known issues & active class actions Do not buy this fridge or anything Samsung. Do yourself a favor and look at the countless complaints, or call literally any repair tech and ask them what they think about Samsung (also LG). After 12 months the fridge stopped cooling due to a massive ice build up. A very common issue that Samsung refuses to acknowledge. If you want a fridge that you literally have to pull apart every 3-5 months and defrost, this is for you. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNGDate published: 2019-02-23Rated 5 out of 5 by HomeDepotCustomer from 5 Star Review Rating provided by a verified purchaserDate published: 2019-02-06
How does this Samsung model hold up to fingerprints? I touched it in the store to check for fingerprints left behind and it seemed to be ok, but over time, how does it hold up?
