Overview
This workshop will give you tips and tricks to save energy in your home. We will also provide an overview on how to save energy using ENERGY STAR® qualified appliances, doors and windows.
- Lower your thermostat - for every degree lower you may save 3% on your heating bill
- Insulate your attic - you could save as much as 30% on your heating costs
- Install an ENERGY STAR qualified furnace - you could save 30-40% on heating bills
- Install ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors - save up to 12% on energy costs
- Choose an ENERGY STAR qualified dishwasher - they are at least 25% more energy-efficient than conventional models
- Buy a front loading ENERGY STAR qualified washing machine - they use 40% less water and 50% less energy than top-loading models
