Paulin Hot Galvanized Casing Nails are mainly used in exterior applications such as trims, door frames or window casings. Similar to finishing nails but a slightly thicker shank. This is a large finishing nail with a tapered head which can be installed flush to or just below the wood surface allowing for filling or painting for a concealed finish. Hot galvanized to prevent corrosion. Recommended for pressure-treated lumber.
Paulin Drywall Blued Nails are used in construction and repair of drywall or attaching drywall to wood studs in walls. Flat head for countersinking and concealing and ring shank for added holding power. These nails have a long, diamond point to help reduce drywall from cracking. Not recommended for pressure-treated lumber.
Paulin Spiral Siding Nails are used for hiding nails in clapboards or cedar siding. Large head with spiral shank to minimize wood splitting and for a stronger hold. Hot galvanized finish recommended for exterior applications where corrosion resitance is required.
Paulin Roofing Electro Galvanized Nails are large flat thin head nails with a short body. They are used for attaching asphalt, fibreglass shingles or sheet metal to wood. Shanks are smooth or ringed for increased pull-out strength. When installing roofing nails be sure to flush to the shingles. Avoid countersinking roofing nails as this can cause shingles to tear. Thin coating of Electro Galvanized zinc prevents rusting and withstands occaisonal moisture; however, it is less robust than Hot Galvanized and should not be exposed to weather if used correctly. Not suitable for exterior applications.
