Roof Guard is a pre-assmbled, easy to install automatic control that connects to a roof and gutter cable. It automatically turns on the heating cable to prevent build up of snow and ice, which can result in expensive roof repair. The sensor detects temperature and moisture and when plugged in, it automatically switches the heating cable on or off as needed. Operating costs are minimal and it helps save energy dollars. It is housed in a weather-resistant enclosure with a electronic sensor. It has a capacity of 1200 watts, 10 Amps at 120 VAC.
Prime the substrate with EXTERIOR PRIMER or H2O PRIMER. The first membrane strip should have a width of 50 cm to offset the joints of the first layer with those of the HR FINISH MEMBRANE that will be placed later. Position and unroll the membrane parallel to the edge of the roof, leaving about 8 cm at the front where the gutter will be installed. If the gutter is in place, install the membrane from the roof edge. Remove the underface protective film for a length of about 30 to 40 cm (12 to 15 in), fold this protective film at a 45 degrees angle. attach the exposed part to the support. While applying pressure to the other end of the membrane, gradually pull back the protective film using a scrubbing brush, secure the support membrane to the support while continuing to remove the protective film.
