Message from Jeff Kinnaird – Racial Equality & Justice for All

Over our company’s history in Canada, our 30,000 associates have proudly reflected the diversity of the communities we live and work in. We’ve built an environment where we take care of each other, build strong relationships, and value respect for all people.

As we grieve with our neighbours, fellow U.S. associates and the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and other unarmed black men and women who have been senselessly killed, we cannot ignore that racism exists within our own country. We too have a responsibility and we must listen, learn and stand with all those who are committed to creating equal justice for all.

To promote actionable change, The Home Depot Canada is contributing $200,000 to the Canadian Civil Liberties Association in support of its vital work to secure civil rights and equal justice for all. Its mission is especially critical now as we work together and more urgently to realize an end to discrimination and hatred.

We are all hurting, but none more acutely than those in our Black communities. Please know that you are not alone. I want to thank our incredible associates for helping to uphold and live our values each and every day. We do not tolerate discrimination of any form, period.
