Make a Holly Wreath

To carry on the cheerful tradition of holly-bedecked halls, add berry accents to a circle of greenery.

Because holly dries out quickly, it's best to display this wreath outside.

  •  There are 4 steps to completing this project:
    Step 1  TRIM HOLLY BRANCHES WITH SHEARS TO MAKE 12 4-INCH BERRY SPRIGS.
    Step 2  STARTING AT BOTTOM JUST OFF-CENTRE OF WREATH, INSERT SPRIGS, CONTINUING ABOUT THREE-QUARTERS OF THE WAY UP EACH SIDE.
    Step 3  WRAP A 1-FOOT RIBBON LENGTH AROUND BOTTOM OF WREATH.
    Step 4  TIE REMAINING RIBBON LENGTH INTO A LARGE BOW.
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED

  • Fresh Cut Wreath
    Holly Branches
TOOLS YOU WILL NEED

  • Scissors
    Shears

1  TRIM HOLLY BRANCHES WITH SHEARS TO MAKE 12 4-INCH BERRY SPRIGS.


Align each sprig stem with one floral pick, and wrap with wire to secure.


2  STARTING AT BOTTOM JUST OFF-CENTRE OF WREATH, INSERT SPRIGS, CONTINUING ABOUT THREE-QUARTERS OF THE WAY UP EACH SIDE.



3  WRAP A 1-FOOT RIBBON LENGTH AROUND BOTTOM OF WREATH.


Secure at back with U pins.


4  TIE REMAINING RIBBON LENGTH INTO A LARGE BOW.


Attach to wreath with pins, inserting beneath bow to hide. Trim bow tails to desired length. To create scalloped edges, fold ends accordion-style into fourths and round with scissors.
