Efficiency Manitoba is offering rebates on select ENERGY STAR certified appliances and smart thermostats. Customers can receive a $50 rebate on eligible smart thermostats, a $100 rebate on eligible clothes washers or a $150 rebate on eligible clothes washer/dryer pairs, and a $100 rebate on eligible super-efficient refrigerators. Customers can find eligible products and apply for their rebate at efficiencyMB.ca/savemore.

Manitoba Hydro offers financing programs to help homeowners with qualifying upgrades such as insulation, windows and doors, space heating and more. The Power Smart Residential Loan Program provides convenient on-bill financing to a maximum of $7,500 for a range of home upgrades. Pay As You Save (PAYS) Financing allows a property owner to use estimated annual savings from installing a particular efficiency measure to pay for the measure. Manitoba Hydro’s Home Insulation Rebate Program offers rebates covering up to 100% of the cost of insulation materials to homeowners upgrading the insulation levels in levels in homes built before 1999.. When using Home Depot’s installation services the service provider will manage all of the paperwork. Pre-approval is required before purchasing materials or starting any work.
