\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Doug from\n Knotty Pine Paneling\n Used this product to enclose a bulkhead that I built around all of the ducting and center beam in my basement. Was very good for straightness, and for the most part free of knots that fall out, leaving a piece to cut around. I was not able to pick my own pieces, as this was in the middle of curb delivery and no one was allowed in the store, but the Home Depot staff did a good job picking pieces that were consistent.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 2 out of\n 5\n by\n Anonymous from\n Poor order picking\n It was early on in the pandemic, and the staff picked my order and brought it out to the parking lot. One of my 1x8’s had maybe 1 usable foot out of the 8’ length. It was bowed, twisted and had cracks and broken knots everywhere. Complete waste of money. Have someone picking orders that knows something about lumber. Two stars cause the other board was at least usable.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n MMBB from\n Hit or miss, pick out the good ones yourself.\n Some were near perfect, others severely cupped and twisted, out of 10 boards 3 were great, 3 were okay, and 4 were terrible. These were the least expensive 1x8s I could find in stock by a long shot. I took a chance ordering online. If you need them to be straight go to the store and pick them out yourself, might be worth the savings.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Franz Cauchi from\n Knotty Pine Boards Should Be Better\n Room for improvement: 1 board had a roughly 12 inch crack that I hadn't spotted when I picked it up at curbside. Also, you can see sloppy blade cut marks (processing & previous machining) of board on the flat side. Since I was making shelves, luckily one side was decent enough for the shelf-top.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n MamaBear07 from\n Good but pricey\n Fairly happy with lumber. Using them as signs and will be staining. These prices have soared over past few years and I’m sure the carbon tax isn’t helping that. That said, I’m amazed at how straight these were. Would buy again. Just wish the cost wasn’t so incredibly high.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 2 out of\n 5\n by\n Lentilbean from\n 1x8x6 Knotty Pine\n Website states actual width is 7 1/4", but some boards were about 7 1/8". Also, some boards were warped and ends split. Unfortunately ordering online means you can't pick the best ones, so buy extra and return the poor ones afterwards.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Paul from\n Some warping but not excessive\n I read a lot of horror stories in the reviews about terrible quality wood during curbside pickup. The wood that I was given during the store shutdown was acceptable quality. There was some warping but the wood wasn't unusable.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n Builder from\n Not 1 x 4 x 6\n I bought these expecting them to actually be 1" x 4" x 6' as noted on the product and on the store tag - which is not the case. They are not wide enough for my project and I'll need to return them. Bad labelling.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n SageHomes from\n Good Wood\n Mostly straight, mostly clean trimmed edges. Only a few arrived uneven when delivered. Ordered 15 and three were unusable due to curve and a few needed a trim on the table saw. Overall, what you'd expect.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n jeff from\n 8 foot boards are not 8 feet\n 8 foot boards are usually 7'11 5/8", and are extremely prone to warping if you dont use it immediately. Most places make their boards slightly over 8' in order to make two 4' boards possible.\n
