I decided to replace all three pieces of the door's brick mounding with the vinyl moulding. I had to trim the width of the top piece and the length of the sides a bit with a chop saw. That was easy to do. I drilled holes into the vinyl moulding before nailing it, I didn't want to crack any pieces by accident. Looks good after installation. Vinyl brick moulding is the same dimension as wood brick moulding.\n

I have not yet painted it, so cannot verify that ability.\n

This kit was less cost than purchasing three 8’ pieces which was the only other size the store had in stock. The only thing I had to do was trim off the bottoms of the long pieces. The vinyl molding cuts easily on a miter saw and does not chip or shatter. Also, it takes finish nails from a gun without damaging the face of the trim. I like the fact that this will not rot over time and the only thing that’s needed is to cover the nail heads with caulking.\n
