\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n JAScott from\n Back to Nature in My Yard.... Not to Mention the Great Exercise!\n I am 61 so I remember these grand old mowers. However I do not remember them being so easy to use! There has definitely been some wonderful updates to the gears. I found it extremely easy to push and the grass was so even! My young neighbor's parents asked how I got my grass so even, and my young neighbor works very hard on his lawn. I was so proud of the results!\n\nThis is indeed one of the best purchases I have made in the last ten years of my life!\n\nThank-You Home Depot for a Quality Product!\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Twiggy from\n Great mower, good work-out.\n The mower was easy to assemble. It does a fine job on my tiny lawn. There are spots where my lawn is bumpy that the mower doesn't quite work properly on, but overall it does fine. I kind of like the fact that I'm a bit winded after mowing (although I'll probably be singing a different tune after the first 100* day); it gives me a double sense of accomplishment - great looking lawn AND a mini- work-out! I love the fact that it doesn't require electricity or gas to work!\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n Yardlady from\n An old invention made new!\n This little baby gets the job done!!! I bought a self propelled push mower last year that I can't get cranked this year ... So rather than spend money on it I decided to try the Scott's Reel Mower ... WOW! Love it. I had read all the reviews and was a little skeptical ... But no more! It really does do a great job, it's not as hard to handle as the gas powered self propel and I don't have to worry about buying gas or oil OR if it's going to crank. Yeah me!!! What a wonderful choice I made!!! Would highly recommend it!!!\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n RCMhere from\n Easy Cutting\n I like that I can just pick it up and move it to the back yard to cut. I like that it doesn't require gas to operate. I like that it give me exercise. It cuts very well. I do struggle with some weeds, but then I just hit those with my weed eater. So its all good.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n Carol from\n Easy to use. Cuts my yard great!\n I was skeptical about how a manual mower would cut my grass. This mower is great! It's easy to push, cuts my yard beautifully. As others have said, it doesn't cut the tall weeds, but I just bend over and pull those.\nI don't have a shed or garage, and didn't want to mess with gas or a cord ( and have no where to store it). So this mower is perfect.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n lcbeasley418 from\n Just not for me...\n With the right type of grass this would probably be wonderful. I did all the research but Florida grass is hard to guess at. I figured close to Bermuda maybe. I'm only 47 (female) and in decent shape. I had to mow over every inch 3 times to get it to cut everything and it nearly did me in. Going with an electric. I would say for those that do the research, this has wonderful reviews. It's also returnable. Might be worth at least giving it a shot.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n straightAs from\n best reel mower we've owned\n This is an excellent reel mower for the price. It was easy to assemble in just 10-20 minutes, and has precision sharp blades - it takes down tall grass and thicker weeds better than our previous mower ever did. It doesn't have many bells & whistles but it does cut my .27 acre lot just like I need it to. My only complaint is in the handle construction, it is bolted together in a lot of places and they require frequent tightening. Otherwise, great buy for my $$.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 2 out of\n 5\n by\n njpmke from\n Too much plastic in the critical parts\n Just bought this yesterday and I have to return it. The grass I was cutting was a bit high, but with some effort I was able to mow through it. I expected that, and was actually impressed that I was able to do it. However, the piece that holds the wheels allowing you to adjust the mower height are made of plastic. This happens to be the same spot where a great deal of the force is applied. What happened to me was the plastic started turning into the metal, which destroyed it on the left side. This meant I had absolutely no control over the height of the mower on the left side, making it even harder to finish mowing.\n

I was really surprised at how well it cuts as well as maneuverability. My fiance and I just bought our first home and didn't have the money to shell out for a shed to hold gasoline lawn equipment, so we decided to get this. Very happy with this purchase...\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n RockinGG from\n This purchase was a waste of good money.\n I was very unhappy with this purchase. My yard is small but has weeds. The mower does not cut weeds. You can go over weeds with this mower repeatedly with barely any results. Have decided to let professionals tend my yard. Very unhappy with this purchase.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Loco from\n Not as Good as should be\n The mower was easy to put together, but brand new out of the box, it won't cut taller grasses that have gone to seed...it just pushes them down, even going back over a couple of times does not work. So just don't get behind on your lawn and it will work...........\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Pamela from\n The mower was easy to put together, light weight and easy to handle.\n Really liked the mower with one exception. Small sticks get stuck between blades causing the wheel to stop turning. I have large pine trees and small sticks prevented me from mowing easily. Otherwise, I would recommend it to anyone with a smooth lawn or someone who doesn't mint racking before mowing\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n Robrus from\n Recommend not purchasing this mower.\n I am not satisfied with this mower. It will not cut tall grass shoots. The wheel freezes up at times and you cannot push the mower. Have to play with the wheel to get it to work again. It does cut short grass when the wheel turns. I would recommend not buying this push mower.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Wekims from\n Good for my small yard.\n Works well. Better than the old push mowers I had to use as a kid. Love that I don't have to gas it up or maintain it like a gas mower or electric. Not hard to push on my lawn - but not for heavy duty mowing.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n DC from\n Works better on a nice even lawn\n Putting it together was quick and it's not very heavy, so I can lift it up easy enough. I found it easy to manage but I will say the bar in front does push longer grass down before the blades can get to them so you have to go over it a few times in different directions. I think if you have a nice even lawn to begin with, it would work better. I just bought my house and the lawn was in rough shape but it's too small for a big gas mower so I'm going to keep trying the push reel mower. Also, it was noisier than I expected it to be but I added some oil and that seemed to help a little. If you're looking for a reel mower, I would recommend this one.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n Chris from\n Does what it is suppose to do\n This product works great. We have a small back yard and an even smaller front yard. It is light enough to carry up and down a few steps to access both yards and cuts well.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Wayne from\n Very nice\n We have a large lawn, purchased mower to get exercise and save some fuel. Cuts great but has a little trouble with long rye grass. Once the rye dies out I think it will be OK. Handle seems a little flimsy,we'll see how it holds up.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n molly7mom from\n Disappointed in mowing efficiency.\n My old gas-guzzler mower finally gave out and I decided to buy an environmentally friendly reel mower for my relatively small yard. The grass was already over 4 in. high in places when I started and the mower was set at 2 3/4" high (again, environmentally recommended). Unfortunately, some stems were simply not cut and others were smooshed down as I ran the mower over. I think a power motor would have done a better job.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n Justsayin from\n Why are the reviews so high for this product?\n I bought this because of the good reviews and price!! I have a smaller yard and hate going to the gas station. Shipped right to my house in 3 days, easy to put together (even for a girl living alone). BUT... I had to go over everything two or three times. It cut very uneven, doesn't cut weeds, kept getting stuck on any little twig or even jammed with grass. I was disappointed and returned it to the store within a few hours! If you buy this... good luck.\n
