\n \n ## \n Can you add another rod to extend this past 144 inches?\n

\n

\n\n I am looking to get a rod that will extend past 144 inches. Some other vendors online sell ones with an additional extension pole. Would I be able to purchase two of these and combine them to get a single rod longer than 144 inches?\n

On installations wide enough that you need to expose the inner center (inner) rod, curtains can sometimes hang up at the juncture between the inner and outer rods, so that you may have to give the curtain a little shake to pull it open.\n

They are very solid, with a nice options for sizing - check the box for your size ranges. The rod is very solid, and if you plan to hang heavy curtains or drapes, plan on using the support in the middle. The rod and finials coordinate very well with my oil-rubbed bronze hardware and look nice in my traditional, Tudor-style home, while giving an updated look. I used wood rods everywhere else in my house, and these go well and blend nicely. I recommend and would purchase again.\n

At the end of the day this works well for me but for 40 something bucks I would expect these to work as they should with no creativeness on my part to make it happen\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n Chuck from\n Great Product with lousy mounting screws\n I purchased one this length, and 3 of the shorter lengths all with a style different finial. The product itself gets 5 stars. It works great, is firmly made, the curtains slide easily and it looks good. The mounting screws get ZERO stars. Cheap chinese steel--softer than the tin foil Wrigley's Gum used to wrap gum sticks in. My screw drivers stripped the steel off of the heads of the screws with one twist! Also, the location of the of the top mounting hole was such that a cordless screwdriver could not reach it and I had to use an offset manual screwdriver to tighten it. (I could have taken the bracket apart and attached it in a simpler way, but I have Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and am not sure I could get two brackets back together with the same dimensions. [The bracket is two pieces, screw-adjustable for changing depth from the wall, but I didn't want to unscrew and possibly wind up with different depths due to my CTS.]) The bracket itself is quite solid. Over all, the product gets 3 stars. If Home Depot used American steel for the screws, the product would get 4.5 starts. A slight re-design of the location of the top mounting screw hole would get it 5 stars\n
