It worked fantastic when I started laying the floor, nothing was crooked. I will use this for whatever I need, not just flooring. It is easy to use, even for an amateur like me.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 1 out of\n 5\n by\n Homedoer from\n Laser is Weak and Tool is Difficult to use\n We bought this to cast a level line across our shower walls to help us install tile. It took us awhile to figure out the the only way to get a horizontal line is to turn the tool on its side. Then we found it difficult to get it in a level position to the laser line would be level and we would have to adjust for each row of tile. Having accomplished this, we found we would have to title in the dark in order to see the laser light. Better instructions might have been helpful. As is, we will be returning this product.\n

The one I got projects laser lines that are dead square (as verified with a standard carpenter's square), and the bubble levels are both dead level (as verified by comparison to a known good spirit level). Yes, the red laser lines are not bright enough to be visible for more than a few feet in bright sunlight, but that is not a "deal breaker" for me. Indoors, the laser lines are sufficiently visible unless the work area is bathed in direct sunlight, in which case I just find a way to block enough direct sunlight to make the laser lines visible.\r\n\r\nI would love to have purchased a green laser square, but could not find one even close to the price range of the Bosch GTL2. For my needs as a DIY tile setter, this laser square is a useful tool, and a good value.\n

Tool design assumes that surface the level is placed on is all ready level. The two buttons described are for pressing into a "silly putty" strip, that goes between back of level and surface it sets on, to level it or attach level to a wall. Bottom line leveling the level is somewhat of a chore if the surface is not level to begin with.\n
