This guides the saw nicely. I put rubber sill sealing tape on the bottom as to not mar the door finish. I also used rubber spring clamps Instead of the c-clamps to secure the cutting guide.\n

I might try to braze to two 4ft sections together and leave them permanently joined, or return it, or use it for scrap?\n

Wow was I surprised. I cut a live edge black walnut slab for my kitchen area in my cabin and this guide worked perfect. On a side note, I ripped this entire slab my my Rigid 18 volt skill saw with a 4MAH battery and only used two bars cutting a 1/2 inch cut at a time until I got the full 2.5 inch thick slab cut. Another pleasant surprise.\n

It can be modified to work, but as it is no way unless you have a clamp with deep enough jaws to reach the backside of it near the center joint. Good luck! Cheaper to just buy a sheet of luan and use a factory edge.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n TF from\n Excellent cutting guide.\n I found this guide to be excellent. I had no issues with it flexing too much (added blue locktite to the machine screws). I used it with my Ryobi cordless circular saw to rip dozens of cuts in plywood without an issue. It also doubles as a rule for marking long lines, and I fully intend to use the opposite edge as a cutting guide for softer materials and a blade.\n
