It doesn't matter what setting for grind type or amount to be ground you get the same amount at the same grind every time. The thing spills grounds. It's impossible to empty the ground coffee into a filter without spilling onto the counter. What a waste of money this thing was.\n

The motor finally wore out after 7 years of constant use. Also, liked the fact that you don't have to hold a button or its top down to keep it grinding. Grinding choices are adequate for most coffee maker styles or percolators. The coarsest grind setting could be a bit more coarse but it was fine for our use with a percolator. I also liked it's smaller footprint.\n

The beans required to make each pot will save you the cost of this grinder in no time at all.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 3 out of\n 5\n by\n PatrickO from\n Cheap plastic pieces break\n I have had several pieces break, although I've had this grinder for a few years.\n\nThe top of the holding bin broke. I had to pay $4 for the part, plus $15 in S&H to replace it, which was ridiculously 1/3 of the price of the entire grinder. It broke again. This time I had someone 3d print a top for me, so the cost was negligible. The on/off switch broke. It's a cheap plastic piece that many people have complained about. I took the machine apart and had ANOTHER piece 3d printed. I began referring to this as my "Frankenstein" grinder, as by now I've replaced at least 3 cheap plastic pieces. If not for the 3d printing, I would have thrown this out quite a while ago.\n\nIt grinds well, and I have a mediocre review for this product primarily because of the cheap plastic pieces that break that can make this grinder useless. After yet another piece has broken, I'm in the market for a new grinder.\n

I bought replacement NEC SEFUSE Cutoff SF119E Thermal Fuse 121 °C 10A 250V but never installed it. I just soldered the wires together. Then about about 5-6 years from purchase the grind started to get very coarse. The upper metal grinding ring is replaceable but the bottom one is not. The upper is not very expensive but I didn't think replacing only the uppers would solve the problem. It is a little messy so it sat in a tupperware container. The safety switches for the lid and receptacle can require a little encouragement. It is a cheap grinder and I really do wish the bottom metal grinding ring was replaceable. If the bottom teeth were replaceable it would be an amazing coffee grinder.\n

Have to hold the lid down and/or shake/move the catch container to operate the safety switches. Grind coarseness seems to not have much variation. Number of cups setting doesn't give consistent amounts of coffee.\n
