The length of the attachment and the base allowed me to reach areas which I normally would have to be leaning into my shrubs.\n

\n \n \n \n Rated 5 out of\n 5\n by\n Rooky Gardener from\n Very good tool\n I read in a review it is a little heavy. Yes it is, but I believe it is also sturdy, and this probably comes at a price. I received this trimmer and got is ready in no time. I like the way it can fold. My problem was that I needed a ladder to trim my viburnum hedge. Now, this trimmer is long enough to forget about a ladder. I think that when properly balanced, the weight is less of a problem. So far, I am very happy with my purchase.\n

I'll need to use the extension pole to finish the job on the burning bushes. The trimmer works great but gets heavy, skip arm day at the gym if you are working overhead. Or use it regularly to get the forearms that even Popeye will envy, and eat your spinach.\n
