I live with a lot of wildlife and needed something that I could place on my deck that Bambi and Thumper couldn't get to and this fit the bill perfectly. \r\n\r\nA couple of things to know; first, to fill these requires a deceptive amount of soil. I ended up needing quite a bit of peat, soil, and manure to fill these things. Secondly, be aware that as they are plastic they do get "warm" in direct sun but that only translated into watering them just a little more. Thirdly, remember that these are not going to be heavy duty planters. They are plastic and the collapsible component only adds to the instability but with a little common sense these can be used to great effect. I already have mini tomatoes, carrots, mini cucumbers, green beans, strawberries, and lettuce growing like mad. Finally, I am absolutely loving these and will hopefully buy another kit when I have a spare $100.\n

Make sure you get the sides locked in when snapping them together and put drainage in the bottom. My only complaint is that for 3 plastic boxes 100$ seems a bit much.\n

You will need something to line it with and/or place smaller planters inside. I found another planter in-store that fit inside perfectly, lined this planter with gravel and placed the smaller planter in and carried on to plant my herb garden.\n

\n \n \n \n \n Rated 4 out of\n 5\n by\n Mattie from\n Love the modular look and variation\n I bought this 2 weeks ago and I am just planting now. It would be great for crops, as advertised, as it is very deep. Since I am doing flowers, I am filling the bottom with lava rock as too much for dirt. For my use, I wish it was a bit shallower. Love the grey colour.\n
