Overview

Model # 1185STSN48 Store SKU # 1000401027

Why Plywood? Simply because it outperforms all substitute wood-based panels on the market today. Plywood is a highly stable panel. When exposed to moisture or high humidity, plywood is up to seven times more resistant to thickness swell than substitute wood-based panels. Plywood also returns to its original dimensions when it dries. Plywood is stronger than substitute wood-based panels in the four important engineering strength properties of bending, tension, compression and planar shear and plywood weighs up to 40% less than substitute wood-based panels of equivalent thickness. Plywood is a highly impact-resistant panel and continues to perform even when wet. Plywood has over 50 years of proven service as a structural panel for homes and construction and remains, according to surveys, the panel of choice by home buyers, contractors, architects and engineers.

  1. Plywood is manufactured from logs averaging 10 inches in diameter from managed sustainable forests. 100% of the log is utilized for either veneer, or by-products, such as 2x4 lumber, landscaping ties or chips for pulp and paper. Nothing is wasted.
  1. Plywood manufacturing, because it is a value added process, employs four times as many people compared to the manufacture of substitute wood-based panels - using the same volume of logs.
  1. Limit of 32pc per customer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad plywood The guys gave me garbage wood. It was the ugliest plywood I’ve ever seen. I’m not impressed at all. From now on if I can’t pick my own I won’t be letting your team pick it. I used it for closet shelves instead of the intended use. Not impressed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Wonderful material. It's lightweight yet strong, can be cut into any shape, and painted any colour you want. Very versatile. I would have given it five stars, but I to measure and cut it myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from when employees pick you wood: when ordering for pick up they choose low quality plywood. I had needed 2 pieces as I was short and ended up with very wrapped plywood.

Is standard spruce plywood considered exterior grade or would I need to get PT plywood?

Asked by: John
No. Spruce ply will rot within 2-3yrs if exposed to the elements or moisture. If you are going outside, PT is the way to go. Just make sure that it doesn't touch the ground or it will go within 4-5yrs. Been there, done that.
