Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good straps Good straps for the price. They also have a soft attach loop built in which is great. Ignore the older posts about the terrible packaging. The old packaging shown in the photo is gone. They now come in a cardboard box that takes 30 seconds to open but does require a screw driver. Very easy. K

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! I bought that product and I use it to attach a mattress on my roof car. This is a good product, which allows to tie securely and firmly the objects, then you do not fear that they detach or slip. For the price and quality, I recommended for every one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great restraint Good set, always good to have a few extra lying around. The hooks on the ends are sized well to fit through the chain links of standard handcuffs. Just wish the straps were a little more robust, my guest was able to almost completely chew through it in the space of a couple of hours. No harm done though.

Can I use these to tie down a 2 1/2 foot square safe to a dolly or is there something better suited. I need to go up and down some stairs.

Asked by: Steve
I used these to tie down furniture on a Big Steel Box when moving and they worked great. They are strong and should work for your safe as long as you can hook the ends to the dolly.

Will this work with tying the base of the basketball hoop to the ground? I have ground stakes. How many years will you expect this to last before I have to replace it because of the brutal Texas sun? Thank you! Thomas
Asked by: Thomas
I'm sure they will work, but you will have to be careful not to apply to much tension, to avoid damage your hoop set-up depending upon how strong it is. I cannot predict how long they will last in direct sunlight. I would guess at least a few months, but "years" may be rather optimistic, depending upon how UV resistant the webbing is. At least they aren't expensive.

after release the tie-down, how to pull the strap out of rotating roller piece? the strap's free end is at the most inner center of the strap roll, no way to pull out to unwinding it from outside. How or what I can do to be able to pull the winded strap out from outside end of strap? Obviously, there must be a way to unlock the ratchet in reverse direction, but I can not figure out how? Can anyone help?
Asked by: Ty
Hold down the release and pull. It may take some fiddling, but it should eventually release.

How do you open the package and free the straps?

I partially freed the straps but cannot open bottom compartment to get them out.
Asked by: KathrynS
Better question is, "What kind of person designed this package, and without instructions as to how to preserve it without breaking it?" One would think they would give instructions as to how to open it given they made it so difficult. I paid for that package and wound up breaking it! They are also wasting the consumers' valuable time in trying to figure it out, including coming here for guidance.

Can the hook be attached back on the ratchet?

I want to secure two pieces of wood together so I was thinking of not using the hook on the ratchet, and after feeding in the free strap end, looping arround the wood and going back on the ratchet

How do you roll up strap

How do you roll up strap
Asked by: lance66
You begin with the end of the strap and started racheted it and by the time there are about 2-3 ft left the spool circle are large and very hard to racheted.. To begin rolling up just put the longest end into the slot of the ratched with about 1 inches also make sure that the released lever is not activated.than started the ratched action of like the rifle man moving the lever of his gun back and forth.
