Being 31% more compact and 24% lighter weight than the brushed version, this saw is ideal for cutting in tight spaces and completing overhead applications without stra-inch The brushless motor delivers speeds of up to 3,000 SPM. That's one powerful tool wrapped up in a lightweight design. The pivoting shoe provides greater depth control to maximize blade efficiency and to minimize downtime. There is also a quick blade release lever to swap out blades easily. Best of all, it is part of the RYOBI ONE+ System of cordless tools that all work on the same battery platform. Bought this about a month ago to prune trees it works great used it about 30 minutes total in the last month and now the blade mechanism is jammed it was a fight to get the blade out and now a new one will not go in Ryobi sent me to the local repair shop which is extremely busy so they said they won’t even look at it for at least two months it was never dropped and the biggest branch would have been about 3 inches there’s no way it should’ve broke already I expect a lot more from Ryobi now it’s going to be probably next year before I can use it again not impressed

I’m not entirely sure if this is a good choice for cutting 2x10 lumber, but I think it’s powerful enough for the job. I was afraid that the powerful noise could disturb the neighbors at one point lol. It cuts thru a 2x10 in about a minute, again I think the circular saw should be a better choice if you are looking into carpentry, but this thing should be more versatile at the cost of a little efficiency.

I bought the 3 pack of batteries, and this came free with it. So far I have only used it once, for about 2 1/2 hours and the 6 AH battery lasted the entire time.
