Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hardware NOT included If I could give it a lower rating I would. That being said, Home Depot should be embarrassed to sell this product. It’s marketed as easy to assemble yet it does not come with any instructions or any hardware to actually assemble it. I'm not kidding!!! When I asked the customer service desk about what I perceived as missing parts they recommended buying 'some nails'; ...seriously. The 'picnic table' is just various precut pieces of pine (~$15 worth of material) without hardware. It's ok as a DIY project but really if that was what I was looking for I would have bought the wood from the lumber department and cut it myself. Although I generally like the products from Home Depot, they really should re-evaluate this one to determine if it results in a positive customer experience. My vote is NO.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Caution! The kit had two split legs. The seat slats are pre-drilled incorrectly, requiring filling. The seat slats are two narrow boards instead of the single board shown. Other boards visible in the kit are blemished and/or gouged. This could get worse as I have not yet unpacked and assembled the table. Clearly of substandard quality. Echoing other comment, I am somewhat shocked and disappointed that Home Depot would even display this product.

We painted the tops with Chalkboard paint and turned them into a canvas for the kids, as well as sealing the wood. I would definitely recommend these!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Careless Manufacturing! Whomever is responsible for quality control for these table kits should be fired. It took me way too long to find a kit that didnt have garbage wood. Then, when I got ready to assemble it at home, half of the boards didnt have pilot holes or markings to indicate which board goes where. No labels either. I paid $40 for maybe $15 of wood that I could have selected and cut better than myself. Honestly, don't bother with these kits and just build it yourself. What an embarassment!

What do you suggest I finish the table with? Stain, outdoor paint or Tremclad?

There are no instructions

There was instructions on the back side of the pictured picnic table in the bundle.  Unless you bought one that someone returned and did not have the picture and bar code of the product.  It was fairly simple to screw together with a power drill.
