Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent size and does my whole main level of my I bought this just over a week ago and I almost hesitated when I read some of the reviews. I am so glad I went with my gut and bought this humidifier. It is excellent and when I read other reviews that stated that it was noisy, I am not sure what one they are talking about this is NOT NOISY, in fact, it just sounds like the furnace running or the microwave. I absolutely love it and would advise anyone thinking of buying one, to purchase this one. We went through 6 gallons of water in a day and a half. It stays steady where we set it and it is a perfect size and it does my whole main floor in my home. I say this product is excellent!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low-quality materials, poor design Running for about two months now. Subpar results: 600 sq ft. open space with a very light air flow at a stable 25% RH normally wihtout humidifier. With it, can reach (at 23C) 28-30% RH on low speed or 30-35% on noisy high speed, measured 1 meter away. Thin and flimsy plastic, breaks easily around the bucket where the heavy lid rests. Needs thorough cleaning and drying weekly to remove slimy biofilm at the bottom, but the bottom is full of dips and bumps and hard to reach spots. Makes it very hard to clean. A flat bottom surface would have been much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Seriously Flawed Live in central Ontario, it's mid November, not really cold yet. House is @1600 sq ft. side-split. Outside temps are about 0c, outside humidity over 80%, been raining off and on for a few days. To the unit. Seriously flawed, starting with it's construction. Flimsy plastics, barely able to hold the weight of the water. The weight when filled bulges the flimsy sides, making it go out of shape, thus making putting the top fan section on a struggle at best. The float switch couldn't be less user friendly or more cheaply designed. The overall design is a mess.... The outlet for humidified are is too close to the intake area of the fan. Almost all the air pushed out gets sucked back into the unit....it's just a cycle of it's own, venting little into the room. Even on high speed (which is so loud no one could live near it) virtually no air gets into the living space. The vent points straight up...put your hand 2 feet above, and there's almost zero air moving. Even tried taping a deflector to shoot it out into the room....did little to raise humidity. So to it's actual performance numbers. I have a very good in-out weather station. It is very accurate. I started this unit immediately after unplugging my cheap boiler type humidifier, and the humidity was at 44%. After 8 hours running this one, it had dropped 2%. After 20 hours, another 2% down. And it's not even cold out yet! The temp outside is barely at freezing, inside steady at 20c. Being as there are only 2 speeds to the fan (the high one incredibly loud) and that the actual surface area on the filter/wick is so small when unit is full, even if the thing put air into the room, it wouldn't be livable with all the noise. This is a very expensive bucket of water with a fan on it. Any $25 cheapy outperforms it. The ONLY attraction, for me, was the high capacity bucket...filling the little ones 2 times a day is a bit of a pain. But this one doesn't work, so back it goes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not enough water evaporaed We have had this unit two years and it is not adequate for a house beyond 1500 sq. ft. as it only puts out about 3 gallons per day. We used to have a similar sized Holmes unit that put out 5 gallons per day. Our house (1900 sq ft) needs the five gallons so we are on the look for something that will compensate for the lower output. Would not buy this unit again and expect it to be used alone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but not easy to take top off and on Cheaply made. But there are no other affordable options for this size. All the parts are flimsy and cheap . When you take the lid off it doesn't easily lineup to put it back on . however it does work well and does the job . I have over 2000 ft.² of finished space and it's definitely keeping the house comfortable. Had it 3 months now

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not doing it's job I bought this yesterday, and I'm really disappointed in it. It's not putting out any humidity into the air whatsoever. I made sure it was properly assembled, and checked to see that the wick was moist at the top - it was, and quite thoroughly so. I noticed as I was taking the unit out of the box that it had been used before, suggesting to me that it was returned for the same reason, but put back on the shelf anyway. This isn't the first time I've bought a faulty product that had been previously used and returned. I expect more from this company.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed within 24 hours I read through these reviews before purchasing and was aware it wasn’t a perfect product. The mentions of poor design, cheap plastic, and loud operation are all true. But I didn’t care - my hardwood floors were being installed in 72 hours and I needed to get my humidity up. For the first 24 hours, everything was going fine. The RH% slowly raised a few % in my 1300sqft home, just enough to be within spec for my floor installation. But then, it failed. I switched the unit off to refill it, and it never turned back on. The red light turns on and off and I hear the humidity relay clicking. I think the fan (or perhaps the thermal fuse as mentioned in the owners manual) burned out. So here I am, watching the humidity slowly descend in my house, with stores closed and the flooring contractors coming in 36 hours. I expect much more at this price point. It’s basically a cheap fan on a cheap bucket. I strongly advise against buying this product.
