Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the support, love the machine Excellent as a humidifier and looks cool BUT do NOT use the essential oils if you want it to last. I have two and used lavender oil in one and orange oil in the other. I used according to directions. We ONLy put drops on foam pad in the plastic tray, but the condensation and splatter inside saturated the foam and carried the oil into the lower level . The lavender (a recommended oil) ate away the seal on the cap to the tank. Not a big deal...if you live in the U.S. the part costs less than $4.00 U.S. The problem is that I live in Canada, where I bought the item. Aircare does not ship to Canada. The part is NOT available in Canada, even through Home Depot. Also, when calling Home Depot customer service I dealt with a lovely gentleman who could not understand my situation due to a language barrier. He was following a scripted protocal and kept offering me a $10 gift card to cover the cost of the part. I kept trying to explain that that would be lovely if only someone could ship me the part but that it was not possible. A $10 gift card does not help if the part is unavailable and my machine is useless without the part (the tank empties out on the floor). Eventually I returned the whole machine for a refund due to a $4 part. FYI, on my other machine the orange oil did less damage but ate a ridge in the plastic cap. Also, as much of a headache as this has been, I love the machine. It just needs better customer support in Canada .

Does the machine take tap water? How do you clean it?
