You’re best to use a melamine paint finish It’s very durable - and lays flat when rolled  Regardless of moulding contour - use a small roller / foam or micro fibre - and after application coat - give it a single roll from end to end It will lay flat and clean

will this work for a bathroom? with the humidity?

Thank you for your inquiry, Janet. This MDF primed baseboard is typically not recommended in overly humid areas. This MDF baseboard can work in the bathroom if the entire surface of the baseboards is painted with appropriate bathroom paint and a good fan is used in the space. Any exposed areas of the MDF baseboards should not come in contact with water as it can swell.
