Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these boards! Love the way these boards look. Super easy to work with and our project turned out great. I spent a great deal of time trying to decide how to spruce up our entrance way as well as make it useful. Priced out several different products and by far this was the cheapest and easiest. Would definitely purchase again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great! I got the 12 foot board for a 12 foot wall. They came primed. Had to pick out 20 boards by hand to make sure they weren't damaged. These are fragile. Got them home and painted them with a sprayer in the yard. Then gingerly brought them into the house. Installed one board at a time, bottom to top. All the videos say "make sure it's level" but they should also tell you to measure down from the roof. My boards were level but the ceiling wasn't. So I have a 1/2" gap at the top left. I didn't measure it till it was too late. To attach I did the bottom with no-more-nails and did the top with a finish nailer. I nailed through the flange so you don't see any nails. This worked awesome. Remains to be seen how they fair over time, but I like the clean look. Overall, it's a great look. Not cheap, but worth it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tongue is extremely fragile - OK quality I had 14 of these delivered to trim out a fireplace built-in unit. The tongue portion on these boards are extremely thin, fragile and a bunch were damaged on the boards I received. This made the install a bit more annoying as they weren't sitting perfectly & level in the joining boards groove. I've used shiplap boards from HD's competitor which are much better quality for a similar price point. Everything did work out in the end but it was definitely annoying dealing with these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product - handled horribly The product went on the wall well and looks great. The website said there was 193 pieces in stocks and I needed 62. In actuality they had 63 and the picker at the store apologized as to the number of them that were damaged on the ends. Probably close to 30% of them had damage of some variation. I was able to cut around those pieces and get the job done but that 10% extra I accounted for came down to pretty much nothing left over. I did have enough so I am thankful for that but it was definitely close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shiplap Primed, you’ll still have to paint it. Looks great for an electric fireplace wall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding service I was very pleased that when we needed more of this product and the sale had ended the store manager agreed to honour the sale price for our second purchase. This saved us a couple hundred dollars. That is good business!

I am using this for my basement ceiling (direct to joists). Should i glue and face nail? installation instructions only show wall installation although description says wall and ceiling applications...

Asked by: Kate
I installed this only on a wall with brad nailer. However, I did install a similar product Armstrong ceiling that is just like the shiplap and only attached crossing the joists with brad nailer and was sufficient as long as they weren't more than 24" span apart.

Is this product nickel gap to hide the nails?

Asked by: Rumple17
Hello Rumple17, thank you for your inquiry. Our version of the nickle gap shiplap does include a separate nail line which guides you on where to nail the piece to the wall. If you follow the nail guide your nail holes will be covered by the previous board and your nickle gap will stay lean and smooth without any nail holes. We hope this information is helpful in the completion of your current shiplap project.

The width dimension is noted as 5 5/16" - is this from edge to edge, if so then what is the width of the face/reveal once nailed into place?

Asked by: Stevo55
Once the ship is stacked and nailed it is 5” from the bottom of groove to top of board. So basically the 5/16 is what is hidden in the tongue groove between each board.

Two questions:  can this shiplap be installed vertically as well as horizontally?  And the installation guide shows the board being nailed into gyprock (through to a stud). Can it be installed directly onto the studs/framing?

Asked by: John W
Thank you for your inquiry, John W. Our shiplap paneling can be installed both horizontally as well as vertically. Yes, you can install directly to a stud/framing.
